To whom it may concern, After graduating in 2011 in Switzerland, I worked for four years in a private in and outpatient clinic. Next to the management of common musculoskeletal conditions in the upper and lower quadrant, I developed my skills in rehabilitation of lower limb amputees as well as orthopedic disorders such as total replacement of knee, ankle and shoulder joint. Furthermore, short and long-term rehabilitation of either conservative or invasive managed rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament or the rotator cuff is also within my scope of expertise. Over a period of two years I gained a certification of advanced studies (CAS) in manual therapy (Kaltenborn/Maitland), which qualified me as an associate of the Swiss Manual Therapy Association (SAMT). In 2015, I was accepted to Kings College London and moved to London to London after being accepted to Kings College London for the Masters degree in Advanced neuro-musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. During this two-year training I further developed my knowledge in the fields of chronic pain and its neurophysiology, as well as evidence-based diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions of the upper and lower quadrant. Thus, the importance of subgrouping patients into red flag, specific and non-specific conditions plays a crucial role in my clinical decision-making. In the field of non-specific neck, low back, or pelvic girdle pain I am inspired by the work of Peter O`Sullivan and his Cognitive-Functional therapy model, which, according to various systematic reviews and my clinical experience, can be a successful management strategy for these patient group. According to the latest NICE guidelines, I use manual therapy as an adjunct to my predominantly active management. However, my diverse experience has enabled me to adapt to the patients needs and wishes. My strengths are: combining my skill as a former professional dancer with the best evidence in physiotherapy as well as motivating the patient with my positive and open-minded personality. In doing so I can guarantee a creative and patient centered management plan, which is discussed with the client and adapted if necessary. I would be very interested in discussing a position with you further. Please let me know if I can provide you with any additional information. Yours sincerely, Fabienne Theler

As a final year postgraduate (pre-registration) physiotherapy student at King’s College London, I have found my past two years extremely interesting and enjoyable. However I look forward to moving into the workplace and eagerly anticipate my final placement at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in their HIV and Infectious Diseases department from August to September 2017. Following this I am keen to continue working in London, as this is where I grew up. I would like to think that this would help me in my role as a physiotherapist, using my geographical knowledge of London to aid with discharge planning and more efficient patient care. Throughout my masters I have worked alongside study; working as a sports masseur in a weightlifting gym in Vauxhall and also working in operations and logistics for a chauffeur company on an ad hoc basis for large events. These jobs have exposed me to a wide variety of clients, given me the opportunity to work fast paced, high stress environments as well as giving me chances to think on my feet and improve my time management and organisation skills. Through my jobs and work placements during my degree, I’ve been able to work in a variety of different settings and trusts. I’ve found it interesting to observe how different trusts function in order to provide the patient centred care to their local populations. Being exposed to respiratory, musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation was extremely enjoyable and I found learning while shadowing and taking on my own case load in these settings a particularly rewarding challenge. To have the opportunity to further my skills in these settings, and others, really appeals to me as I look to gain a well-rounded skill set that can be transferred across multiple settings. I feel furthering my exposure to a wide variety of clinical presentations, symptoms and psycho-social challenges will increase my confidence and ability to develop my skills as a physiotherapist, as I seek to provide efficient patient centred care. I feel my undergraduate degree in Sports Science and Physiology can assist me in understanding the core aspects of recovery, looking further into the biochemical processes behind the presentations that are being observed. This has aided in my confidence in identifying red flag symptoms and more delicate prognoses. However, I also understand the importance of treating that patient biopsychosocially and not reducing them to their presenting symptoms. I found this sensitivity to each patient aids to increase their confidence and compliance with their treatment, while also providing a confidential, non-judgemental, and caring environment. I have managed to gauge my own limits as a physiotherapy student while on practice, using the skillset I have gained to treat what I know. However I am also able to seek help and guidance from a senior with more sensitive cases or with presentations I am unsure about. I am aware that I have much to learn as a newly qualified Physiotherapist and I am excited and motivated by the challenge. I am keen to further my clinical reasoning and continue my professional development at the University College London Hospitals Trust. I feel the trust values of kindness, safety and teamwork, alongside striving to improve care are imperative to providing the best service possible, for both staff and patients alike. As a postgraduate student, I have had the opportunities to reflect on my experiences while practicing, allowing myself to implement strategies that can develop my practice as a health care professional. I was able to implement these strategies and improve myself both on placement and while working as a sports masseur. I pride myself on my ability to build rapport with patients and understand how important communication is in providing clear, individualised goals and treatments that the patient is comfortable and confident to adhere to.

I am a passionate South African trained physiotherapist qualifying with distinction in 2012 from the University of Cape Town. Having worked for four and a half years in South Africa I am really interested in travelling to experience a new culture and patient bio and learn as well as share new skills. I have worked extensively in all hospital related areas of physiotherapy including neurophysio, paediatrics (including NICU), post op care for both orthopaedic and medical procedures, and chest physiotherapy. In Out-patient physiotherapy I have worked predominantly with paediatrics, sports related or work related injuries, woman’s health, cervical headaches, and neuro rehab. Paediatric physiotherapy, from neurodevelopmental conditions to chest physio or orthopaedic conditions is where I am most passionate. I also have a special interest in woman’s health with regard to urinary incontinence and have had great results with percutaneous peripheral nerve stimulation in my patients. At my current post I do a fair amount of pre and post-natal care including breast feeding and lactation consultation. As long as I am working with people I am happy, therefore, being a part of a team and having space to grow in a work place is really important. I am looking for a position where I can bring the skills that I have gained and positively influence the workforce as well as improve holistic patient care while learning new skills myself. Thanks for taking the time to consider me for your post Warm Regards Caryn

With over 11 years experience as an MSK physiotherapist, with my last 18 months working in professional sport, I believe I can bring a high level of service to a variety of set ups. Within this time I have worked 8 years in football, 5 in rugby, 4 in cricket, 2 in swimming and 1 1/2 years in sailing. This has forwarded myself a huge wealth of knowledge when dealing with various sporting conditions. In my most recent role I was lead physiotherapist of professional sailing team Soft Bank Team Japan, creating structured injury prevention programmes to compliment the demands placed on professional sailors both on and off the water. I also corrected movement deficits highlighted through, function and sport specific assessments, via multiple soft tissue treatment methods. As well as these pre-hab modalities I also assessed and rehabbed injuries ensuring appropriate referral when required and reporting accurate return to performance timelines to team management. Prior to working for Softbank Team Japan I worked at APEX Physiotherapy in Bermuda. This role entailed assessing sport and sedentary client’s injuries, to create patient specific rehab programmes. I also worked with Bermuda national sides in football, rugby, cricket and other sports teams/performers and academies, generating bespoke injury prevention exercise programmes and treating a wide variety of injuries. The role also required me to travel with teams to, sometimes remote, sporting venues and manage logistics in regards to a variety of sports performance requirements, ranging from sourcing clean water to the nearest medical facility. My work experience has been complimented with my continual education, completing an Msc in Sports Physiotherapy, obtaining a license to practice acupuncture/dry needling and in the last 5 years becoming certified in the Selectional Functional Movement Assessment (Lv 1 & 2). As well as watching and playing a variety of sports, I also enjoy keeping fit and taking on new challenges. I’ve travelled for work and pleasure and have sought a variety of life experiences such as running the New York marathon to selling bikes for Harley Davidson in the USA.
Location Preference: I am flexible to where I work in the world. As long as conditions and circumstances suit, I am happy to work in the majority of countries.

To whom it may concern, I am a Chartered Physiotherapist currently working in Ireland. I am looking for my dream job in Sydney. I am fully registered with APHRA and have indemnity insurance in Australia. I am a qualified Pilates instructor in mat and reformer and I am also qualified in acupuncture and dry needling. I am very passionate about my job and I love working in Private practice and teaching Pilates. I was in Australia doing a locum in a nursing home until January 2017. I loved Australia, the lifestyle, the beaches and the coffee!!! I came home to help my little sister with her exams which she has now completed and I would love to go back to Australia to live the dream! I truly care about all of my clients and I only want the best for them. I strive to promote fitness and healthy living as well as injury prevention. I truly believe in the power of knowledge and educating clients about their injury and how to prevent recurrence. I love finding the root and cause of the problem as it makes the work as a Physiotherapist so interesting. Sometimes I feel like a detective trying to figure out why this injury has happened. I have two main mottos - "motion is lotion" and "strength equals function". Exercise is so essential in Physiotherapy treatment. That is why I love Pilates. It is so great to see clients improve their strength and reduce their pain via the power of Pilates. Since coming home to Ireland I have set up and I am running two Pilates classes and I thoroughly enjoy teaching clients how to do the exercises correctly and why this is beneficial for them. Each week I have a "homework" exercise for them to practice and I also explain that Pilates is like learning a musical instrument and the aim is to retrain the body to move and to work in the most efficient and effective way. One of the biggest highlights since I came home was running a fundraiser "Pilates in the Park" class for the Oesphageal Cancer fund. It was so much fun and a great way to get people outdoors and exercising. Luckily the weather was good for the event as the weather in Ireland can be hit or miss (unlike Australia)! I am working as a self employed physiotherapist in a small clinic at the moment and I treat on average 10 people a day using a variety of techniques including manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques etc. The clinic has a strong focus on insoles and orthotics and I have worked alongside my manager doing inservices to improve my biomechanical assessments and orthotic prescriptions. Currently I am also involved with the MS Society of Ireland treating getting the balance right classes. It is such an enjoyable morning. I work alongside two other Physiotherapists and we take it in turns to teach different parts of the classes as well as to update outcome measures. We use a variety of equipment for a strength based workout for the clients. My dream job is in a Physiotherapy/Pilates studio teaching a mixture of Pilates and doing Physiotherapy sessions. I really want to upskill my reformer Pilates. I want to work in a clinic that places a strong emphasis on CPD and inservices and more importantly a clinic that puts the client as number 1. As my visa expires in October I do require a Sponsored work visa. I am happy to finance the visa myself. I realise this is a business risk for an employer as well as for myself but I am willing to take the risk for my dream job and I worth taking the risk for. I have a very friendly caring outgoing personality and I am a proactive personality who works hard. I would be most grateful if you would consider me for a position in your clinic. Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you require any more details. Please refer to my LinkedIn for further details on my career to date: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tricia-murphy-25462a82 / Many Thanks, Tricia Murphy.
