Let me begin by introducing myself. I am a self-employed consultant physiotherapist, with a practice spread over North and South of Goa. My practice is hospital based and I conduct my clinics in Healthway Hospital, North Goa and Royal Hospital, South Goa . In addition I am a visiting consultant to the hospitals in the vicinity for In-patient treatment. I was Head of Department at the Manipal Hospital, Goa, an associated hospital of The Manipal Healthcare Systems, India , until September 2013. The Physiotherapy Department was setup by me in April 2003 .I have had the opportunity to help & treat patients with varying problems in the fields of orthopaedics, neurology, general medicine, cardio-thoracic surgery, general surgery, sports medicine, paediatrics and cancer patients both at the outpatient as well as in-patient levels. In 2006, I took up the role of team physiotherapist to the Goa State Football Team and the Under 21 INDIA Football team for the 1st Lusofonia Games held in Macau. In 2010- 2011, I took up locum posts in Bahrain and helped design and set up the Physiotherapy Department at the newly opened Royal Bahrain Hospital. I was involved in the setting up process right from its inception, to its successful running. I completed my Bachelors in Physiotherapy( B.P.T) from Kasturba Medical College under MAHE( Manipal Academy Of Higher Education) University which is a deemed university .I completed my 6 month internship in march 2003 and started my clinic at the Manipal -Goa hospital in April 2003. I have also done a 6 month long course in Yoga Therapy which is primarily patient related and attended various C.M.E. programs on topics like sensory integration, physiotherapy in sports injuries, mobilisation techniques for the spine and peripheral joints. I am licensed to practice in the UK and Kingdom of Bahrain as well. I firmly believe in being PROACTIVE rather than REACTIVE. If we can prevent injuries from happening and promote preventive health care, we will be able to help everyone on a larger scale. Keeping in mind the above objective, I have been involved in creating awareness for various targeted audiences, corporate entities, hospitality industry and to the general public through newspaper articles, television and cable networks and radio. I have developed a fitness package with the sole aim of promoting a PROACTIVE approach towards optimum physical and mental health. In today's busy times when everybody lives a robotic life we need to stop and look at ourselves for a while. The body needs care just like any machine to perform in an optimum manner. You don’t need to repair it only when damaged.... why not keep it charged, ready to go at all times. I love being a physiotherapist, nothing gives me more pleasure then to be able to bring smiles to people's faces. P.S.: I also have recently acquired an MBA degree in health-care management through Sikkim Manipal University.

I am highly skilled, self-driven, and have always delivered a hands-on approach towards Physiotherapy. I have over 15 years’ experience in physiotherapy, having owned and managed my own physiotherapy practise for the last 10 years. As a result I have learned excellent communication skills between peers and the team with which I work, as well as developing strong leadership qualities with regards to managing staff and marketing the business. My focus has always been centred on the patient’s wellbeing and delivering the best evidence based practice to return the patient to their optimal level of function. I consider myself to be a well-rounded therapist after having spent the first 5 years after qualifying in hospital based practices. This is where I worked in large multi-disciplinary teams, did ward rounds with doctors, observed surgeries in theatre, and worked closely with referring specialists, exercise physiologists and podiatrists. During this time I was doing a combination of ICU, general medical and surgical post-op, neurology, neurosurgery and orthopaedics. There was also a component of out-patient work where I treated primarily musculo-skeletal conditions, and was intensively involved in hydrotherapy rehabilitation and back exercise classes. For the last ten years I have dedicated my career to building my own physiotherapy practice which has been an out-patient practice treating mainly musculo-skeletal patients and sports injuries (runners and cyclists). During this time I managed physiotherapy staff and had ongoing CPD (continuing professional development) sessions within the practise, as well as driving myself to keep up to date with current literature and best treatment practice. I prided myself on the personal relationships I had developed with so many of my patients, and they were made to feel part of a family knowing that their best interests were always the primary objective. I am hardworking, reliable, and enjoy working with like-minded people. My attached resume further details my experience and skills. Thank you for your time and effort in considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss further my suitability for this position in an interview setting. Yours sincerely, Karen Saunders

Dear Madam/Sir: I am a 2014 graduate from University of Hertfordshire where I achieved Second Class Honours degree. During my physiotherapy degree I was fortunate to gain neuro-rehabilitation experience in Filoktitis Medical Rehabilitation Center, orthopaedics rehabilitation along with my involvement in the weekly rehabilitation programme. During my physiotherapy degree, I also had the opportunity to manage similar patients at IASIS (Private Practice, OPD, neuro rehabilitation), and at Neo Athineon, a General Clinic [Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High dependency unit (HDU)].My work experience has been great at Momentum Taekwondo Training Center where I treated mainly orthopedic conditions. Apart from my clinical knowledge and technical ability, you will find that my practice education experience is rooted in my passion for communicating with both patients and advisors. I use an attentive heart to extrapolate information and explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they have. I take pride in my work and strive to improve situations, save time to speak with each patient, and otherwise make a positive impact for my employer. My Degree in Physiotherapy has provided a solid academic background. On the other hand I develop my skills through a number of activities and interests, as well as seminars. I persevere until the work is done, I like to take on tough challenges and aspire to succeed. With a career path doing so, I am confident that I can do the same for you. Sincerely, Nikos Kapetzoglou

Location Preference: Pilates Reformer / Matwork MSK Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 6) looking for work overseas employed as a "Physiotherapy trained Pilates instructor" within a Reformer Pilates studio + Physio centre. I would look to seek clinical registration if the clinic / employer and lifestyle of the area suited. Looking to travel and work from Nov 2017. Would consider warmer climates or near the mountains.
